We are recruiting for an Accounting Manager in our finance team to be responsible for the accurate and timely production of financial statements and all the functions this entails. 

In this role, you’ll get to work very closely with Senior Managers from across the business as well as other members of the finance department.  Your communication and organizational skills will be put to good use.  We are looking for someone with upward mobility.

This position reports to the Group Controller and currently supervises one Senior Accountant and shares an Accounts Payable/Billing Coordinator.  This position is located in Huntington Beach, CA.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain books on Sage Intacct; provide monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
  • Manage the monthly close
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Reconcile AP and AR subledgers
  • Working with the Client Finance Director reconcile Work in Process and Deferred Revenue
  • Reconcile other balance sheet accounts
  • Manage the payment process for vendors
  • Process ACH payments and wires
  • Book and reconcile revenue journal entries by class
  • Manage payroll through a third party (Paylocity)
  • Enter payroll journal entries
  • Manage prepaid expenses
  • Verify and deposit cash and checks into bank account
  • Manage fixed assets and leasehold improvements
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts as needed
  • File quarterly sales and use tax returns
  • Send out 1099s annually
  • Assist in the annual 401k audit

  • Five plus years accounting experience required
  • Experience in a project accounting environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to work with a broad range of people
  • Ability to analyze and give recommendations on business operations
  • Skilled at writing procedures and training staff to follow them
  • Experience at managing and mentoring staff
  • This is an in office position Monday - Friday
