POSITION HIGHLIGHTS100% Onsite
Provide leadership and coordination for a subset of UW Medical Center's Surgical Clinics
Lead a team of approximately 75 staff members across at least 3 locations
Work collaboratively with nursing leaders, operations leaders, medical providers, and other departments such as IT, and revenue cycle in efforts to coordinate process, patient flow, and access
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Participates in the development of goals, financial planning, policy, and procedures to effectively lead UWMC outpatient surgical care
Consults and collaborates with Assistant Administrators to coordinate and implement effective strategies for the delivery of clinic and procedural services as it pertains to the specific surgical specialty
Responsible for the management of the operational and capital budget for those areas that directly report to this role
Develops dashboards and provides leadership with data analysis for clinical activities
Develops and implements a fiscally responsible plan for services across all freestanding and hospital-based outpatient surgery clinic sites
Collaborates closely with nursing leadership on best practices and high-quality, safe, and effective procedural clinic care
Evaluates patient demand and ensures access for patients through effective scheduling and referral processes, timely appointment availability, and access
Oversight of the operational and human resource aspects of outpatient surgical clinic care including financial decisions, contracting, budgeting, coordination with Financial Authorizations, and Surgical services
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree
4-5 years’ experience working in an Ambulatory Care Division
2-3 Years leading in an Ambulatory Care Division with Operational Clinic management experience
Experience with data analysis (proficiency with Excel)
Ability to draft communications and presentations to senior level leaders within the organization (proficiency with PowerPoint)
Experience with Financial Clearance/Prior Authorizations
Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirement
