Applies the principles of software engineering to support computer software that provide business capabilities, solutions, and/or product suites.Provides specific functional expertise that is theoretical and conceptual in nature. Works independently, receives minimal guidance.Project Management• Integrates timelines and milestones across projects, identifying areas of synergy or dependency.• Determines actual or potential gaps in resourcing for projects and recommends strategies to mitigate.• Evaluates the progress of projects and makes adjustments (e.g., to task order or timeline) to keep the project on track.Troubleshooting• Conducts a deep review of data and issues to quickly reveal the root cause of problem.• Recommends interim and long-term solutions to complex problems to ensure successful resolution.• Executes solutions to complex problems; guides the analysis of a problem all the way to a successful resolution.System and Technology IntegrationPossesses knowledge of features and facilities for integration, and communication among applications, databases and technology platforms to bring together different components and form a fully functional solution to a business problem.Technology Advising/Consulting• Gains insight into how customers utilize technology for their competitive advantage and applies this knowledge to suggest areas for improvement.• Conveys the right information to the correct parties to ensure that proposals for improvements are given the proper consideration and technical issues are resolved in a timely manner.• Contributes to product development by identifying industry change, listening to customer needs, capturing feedback and communicating that feedback to the business.Key Responsibilities:- Production Support: Provide 24/7 support for .NET, Microsoft Server (on-prem), and Microsoft Azure-based production environments, ensuring high availability and performance of critical applications.- Incident Management: Monitor, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to Azure services, minimizing downtime and ensuring rapid recovery.- System Administration: Manage and maintain Azure resources including virtual machines, databases, networks, and storage, ensuring optimal configuration and performance.- Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operations, reduce manual efforts, and improve overall efficiency.- Collaboration: Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application deployments, updates, and changes in production environments.- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of production systems, incident resolutions, and standard operating procedures.- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents, implement corrective actions, and communicate findings to stakeholders.- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements, contribute to the enhancement of support practices, and mentor junior team members.Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production support, with at least 3 years focused on Azure cloud services.- Technical Skills:  - Extensive experience with Azure services including VMs, Azure SQL, Azure App Services, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Networking.  - Strong understanding of Azure monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.  - Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates or Terraform.  - Experience with ITIL processes and best practices for incident, problem, and change management.- Soft Skills:  - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.  - Strong communication and collaboration abilities.  - Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.  - Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.Preferred Qualifications:- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect).- Experience in supporting large-scale, mission-critical cloud environments.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $99,360/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,140/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position.
