PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Finds & attracts qualified applicants for open positions, reviews resumes & focuses on skills matching up best to the requirements at hand. Interviews both exempt & non-exempt candidates to ensure job fit/requirements are met. Sets up & conducts New Hire Orientation (NHO), including onboarding all new candidates to ensure open positions are filled in a timely manner.
Prepares human resource documents, records, and handles confidential material in the HR department as applicable/required. Helps answer general questions and inquiries in all areas of HR. Completes special assignments and projects as assigned. Assists with recruitment activities internally & externally for the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates recruiting efforts, screen resumes, arrange interviews and coordinate the evaluation and offer process. Supports managers and supervisors in the overall hiring process.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Works with/coordinates recruiting/hiring needs with outside contract agencies to ensure best candidates for onboarding
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
- Prepares recruitment materials and posts jobs (internally & externally) to job boards/platforms, etc.
- Promotes USEV as a “best place to work”
- Assists with the interview process, attending & conducting interviews with managers, supervisors, etc.
- Develops and updates job descriptions and job specifications.
- Develops and administers new hire orientation (NHO)s & coordinates additional training classes & job shadowing requirements.
- Assists department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.
- Assists with special projects as needed.
- Follows the Quality Management System & Environmental Management System guidelines on a daily basis.
- Manages Service Awards & special pay bonuses for USEV associates
- Manages weekly hours for contract/agency associates
