BASIC PURPOSE

Perform activities to support all aspects of shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely delivery of inbound freight and proper scheduling against capacity. Responsibilities include data entry, report preparation, and maintaining shipping and receiving records.
 

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Schedule receiving appointments with vendors for inbound freight
• Prepare and update daily delivery appointment schedules
• Prepare inbound shipping documentation
• Assign receiving doors to inbound carriers
• Enter purchase orders and verify all POs are cleared by end of day
• Manage discrepancy reports
• Coordinate and schedule backhauls with the purchasing department
• Prepare weekly backhaul reports
• File out-of-stock and damage claims

External: Carriers, Vendors
 

What You Bring to the Table
 

Education / Training

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
   

Related Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with warehouse and delivery procedures required
   

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent telephone and customer service skills
• Strong math and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Basic computer skills and analytical ability
• Ability to resolve routine problems of limited scope

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
The expected base rate for this role is $31.00 per hour.
