      Responsibilities

      • Administers care to patient population which ranges from neonates to geriatrics. -
      • Works cooperatively and interdependently with emergency, prehospital, law enforcement, and ancillary personnel while coordinating the emergent and critical care of patients requiring helicopter transportation. -
      • Markets the Air 1 program and serves as a representative of the department as well as the UT Health East Texas System when involved with a public relations activity and/or marketing activity.
      • Understands and supports the UT Health East Texas Mission, Vision, And Values. -
      • Adheres to all hospital policies and procedures.
        Qualifications

        Job Requirements: -
        • High school diploma or equivalent requiredCertificate from an accredited EMT/Paramedic program.
        • Texas EMT-P certification
        • National Registry EMT-P (NREMT-P)
        • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
        • Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS)
        • Certified Flight Paramedic Credential (FP-C) within 6 months of employment. - If the Crew member is an RN working in the Paramedic role the CFRN will take the place of the required - Certification.

        • NRP -
        • ACLS
        • At least three years prehospital experience in a lead paramedic rolePreferred Job Requirements: -
          • Previous flight paramedic experience
