The candidate will directly support senior Directorate leadership providing consultation and expertise on high priority issues and requirements through strategic communications and collaborative engagements. Key Responsibilities Advise senior management on staff action policies/procedures, develop comprehensive plans of tasking projects, conducting analysis to develop policies/procedures, and identifying areas of improvement to apply changes. Perform reviews, studies, and analysis to evaluate and develop procedures and policies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the program(s) Establish and maintain a professional rapport with senior organizational leadership and administrative personnel in managing staff actions, projects, and activities. Prioritize tasks and be comfortable working in an environment with frequently changing/evolving tasks and goals; flexibility is a must. Work closely with senior leadership and subject-matter-experts to ensure timely responses to action items and question/updates to correspondence. Coordinate preparation sessions for organization senior leadership, ensuring personnel are prepared and ready to address questions. Composing executive correspondence and other communications based upon executive requirements, such as routing and tracking information requiring action by the executive team, ensuring all material is safely distributed, received, and acknowledged. Develop and facilitate briefing slides appropriate for senior executive leadership. Coordinate and facilitate in-person or virtual meetings or special events. Capture and document after event reports to summarize proceedings, assess outcomes, questions, and share knowledge. Prepare senior level documentation to enable administrative and operational activities including memoranda, information papers, organizational charts, etc. and serve as the expert consultant on appropriate formats and language for staffing packages. Conduct privileged communications, liaison activities with external DoD agencies Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or equivalent academic discipline (preferred) OR High school diploma (or equivalent) Experience Minimum of five years of Staff Officer or similar experience in support of senior executives. High degree of knowledge, competence, and application of executive and administrative competencies, including excellent organizational and analytical skills. Demonstrated experience and familiarization with DoD Manual 5110.04, Vol 1 (Manual for Written Material: Correspondence Management). Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, is critical for this position. Experience trouble shooting complex issues, multitasking efficiently, and facilitating senior-level meetings. Experience in executive-level support and protocol procedures within the DoD or other U.
