Vaco is actively seeking an AWS Architect for a direct-hire position with our client in St. Louis.  This is a permanent opportunity to join a highly respected national organization that is a proven leader in their field!Position SummaryThe AWS Architect will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction and utilization of corporate technology systems. This includes designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions using primarily Amazon Web Services (AWS) associated products and modules.  Within a defined Scaled Agile Environment (SAFe), the Architect will take on additional responsibilities to support agility and scalability principles, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.Specific Responsibilities IncludeArchitecture Design and Strategy:Develop and maintain the AWS architecture blueprint to support business goals and technical requirements.Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on AWS.Conduct architectural assessments and provide recommendations for optimizing existing systems.Technical Leadership:Lead technical discussions and decisions, providing expert guidance on AWS services and solutions.Mentor and support development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices and standards.Conduct reviews and audits of architecture and code to ensure compliance with security and performance standards.Scaled Agile Environment (SAFe) Integration:Collaborate with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to align architectural strategies with SAFe principles.Participate in Agile ceremonies such as PI Planning, Scrum meetings, and retrospectives to ensure architectural alignment and support for Agile teams.Adapt architectural approaches to meet the dynamic needs of Agile development cycles.Stakeholder Engagement:Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, business analysts, and other technical leads, to gather requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.Continuous Improvement:Stay updated with the latest AWS technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve architectural practices.Evaluate new AWS services and tools for potential adoption to enhance our cloud infrastructure.ExperienceProven experience (typically 7 years) in designing and implementing cloud architectures on AWS.Experience in a leadership role with a track record of successful project delivery.Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and others.CertificationsAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or similar AWS certification is highly desired.Agile certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist, Certified ScrumMaster) is desirable.Additional Details:Employment Type: Direct-Hire PositionSchedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week) Start Date: ImmediateLocation: St. Louis, MOCompetitive Compensation: Commensurate with skills & experienceEmployment Status: No form of Corp-to-Corp or Employment Sponsorship is being considered.Interested Candidates are Encouraged to Apply for Immediate Consideration!
