Front End Developer
Location: Dayton, OH (on site)
Clearance: Requires TS/SCI with CI Poly Our clientpartners with the US national defense community to create fully integrated, resilient, and innovative digital solutions that enable them to make smart decisions in real-time. We work with our customers on everything from conquering their data to improving and safeguarding IT infrastructure. Our ultimate goal? To enhance our nation's ability to identify, address, and act - no matter what challenges arise. Description: Seeking a highly qualified Software/Web Developer to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. The effort requires the maintenance and enhancement of an application and underlying services/microservices' application's current capability while identifying future capability needs and eliminating overlaps. The team will continuously improve sustainment and development in order to reinvest resources to provide new capabilities and improve the effectiveness, quality, and robustness of the underlying technology. Our applications are focused on intelligence analysis and collection management directly supporting intelligence analysts and operators across the intelligence community and Combatant Commands. The Software/Web Developer applies concepts, develops, tests, maintains, and supports high-performance, innovative software and web-based applications. Troubleshoots software and web problems and provides solutions to overcome those problems using the latest technologies. Works with management and information technologists to determine specifications. Uses a variety of internet technologies, techniques and tools such as graphics software applications and object-oriented languages (e.g. Angular JS, NODE, etc.) to create software and web application elements such as user interface features, algorithms, animation, special effects, databases, and e-business applications. Essential Duties: * Supports software and web architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and legacy systems)
* Interacts with customers and development team to gather and define requirements
* Analyzes and studies customer requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy their needs
* Designs, creates, tests, and maintains software and web based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer requirements
* Follows a formal design process using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and also adheres to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of software and web applications (e.g., software reuse, modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant)
* Coordinates creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a coherent site design
* Designs and develops visually-pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation
* Develops and maintains software and web development technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades
* Provides software process management and configuration management throughout the software/web development lifecycle Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Active TS/SCI with Poly
* Must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level 2(Sec+)
* Experience working on a development team under DoD/DIA DevSecOps process
* Experience with Angular JS and/or NODE is required Preferred Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in information technology, or computer science and four years of comparable work experience.
* Desired skills include up to eight or more years of program/application operations experience.
* Prefer candidates who have experience in the Intelligence Community.
* Candidate must be analytical and effectively able to prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.
* Prospective candidates should have strong risk management skills, excellent communication, teamwork and conflict management skills.
* Python coding experience preferred.
* Participates in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications
* Develops training materials related to Tier 0/1 ensuring they are comprehensive enough for ESOC technical staff capable of troubleshooting the application
