Front Load Driver – Pasco West (New Port Richey, FL)

Starting Pay: $25/hr + Annual Increases & Bonus Opportunities
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 45–55 hours/week (must be able to work holidays)

Pasco West New Port Richey, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a dependable and motivated Front Load Driver to join our team in New Port Richey, FL.

No prior waste industry experience? No problem. Waste experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Safely operating a front-load garbage truck on assigned routes
• Reading route sheets and servicing all customers listed or assigned by dispatch
• Performing routine inspections and maintenance checks (fluids, tires, safety equipment)
• Handling physically demanding work, including loading/unloading without a helper
• Operating hydraulic hand controls to lift and empty refuse containers
• Maintaining courteous, professional interactions with customers
• Assisting with additional duties as needed to support daily operations

Working Conditions

This position involves:

• Heavy physical activity, including lifting/pushing/pulling 50+ lbs
• Exposure to outdoor weather (heat, rain, humidity), fumes, and vibrations
• Working around moving mechanical parts and maintaining strict safety awareness
• Moderate noise levels typical of industrial and outdoor work environments

What You Need to Qualify

• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 1 year of related driving experience
• Basic understanding of truck components to complete pre- and post-trip inspections
