Position Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Develop and maintain strong customer relations in such a manner that they will purchase from Preferred to increase company sales and profit.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Develop new customer accounts through cold calls, working potential customer lists and contacting contractors in the area, etc.
  • Maintain positive relations and increase business with current customers.
  • Accurately estimate materials needed and up sale.
  • Provide effective product presentation to customers.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Negotiate pricing levels with customers in a way that will encourage business and also maintain profitability.
  • Obtain and record current information on customers.
  • Coordinate with Sales Manager the status of quotes and orders to ensure commitment to customers are being met.
  • Identify opportunities to build and sell formwork.
  • Oversee the formwork fabrication process.
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets
  • Performs all assigned tasks, responsibilities, and related work processes in the safest possible manner, always ensuring that a safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all coworkers, clients, suppliers, etc. at all times.

Other Duties

  • Make recommendations to Sales Manager for new product lines and pricing to remain competitive in the market.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as: discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Attend relevant product training to increase knowledge as required.
  • Attend and participate in relevant trade shows as required.
  • Assist in collecting past due accounts payables.

Position Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma / GED
  • 4 years of relevant product sales experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Industry relevant product knowledge Required.
  • Computer skills (typing, email, internet, Office / Excel) Required
