Certification Details
- Nursing Float Pool will float to ALL MS Units as needed.
- Will care for Covid patients.
- 2 years experience required.
- Epic experience required.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Med/Surg Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
- Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepares and administers medications and records prescribed medications.
- Educates patients on surgical procedures.
- Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.
- Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients.
- Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology.
- Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
- Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by physician.
- Changes dressings, inserts catheters, starts IVs.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
- Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol.
- Participates in discharge planning.
- Utilizes time management skills.
- Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
- Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
Job Details
- 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Experience with Epic required.
- BLS and ACLs certifications required.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as of 1/5/2022.
Job Requirements
- Nights - 3X12 hour shifts.
- Weekends and Holidays as needed.
Schedule Information
- The RN will be a part of the Nursing Float Pool & Will Float to ALL MS Units As Needed.
Unit Specific Information
- NICOTINE-FREE FACILITY.
- WellSpan will not consider candidates that have had a license suspended anytime in the past.
- All time off and/or scheduling requests must be included in the submission.
- Candidates cannot be considered if they have been employed as a perm hire at any WellSpan site within the year.
- WellSpan requires the flu vaccine from September 7 - April 30.
