The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a great communicator, detailed-oriented, team player that enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This position will report to the Assistant Controller. Through involvement with complex and unusual transactions, accounting for venture investments, and mergers & acquisitions activity, this position will play a critical role in the accounting processes and have high visibility to finance leadership within the organization.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Conduct and document technical accounting research related to new business initiatives and/or complex transactionsProactively collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that accounting and budget impacts of significant and unusual transactions are communicated timely and accounted for properlyPerform and document quarterly/annual controlsLead the evaluation and adoption of new accounting pronouncements, including collaborating with the broader finance organization to ensure effective implementationProactively work with external auditors to drive timely closure of technical accounting mattersDraft, update, and maintain accounting policiesSupport research and disclosure efforts for ESG related programsPromote teamwork between finance groups and departmentsAssist in balance sheet and income statement flux analysis in accordance with close timelinesSupport SOX compliance efforts and assist in improvement of control proceduresAssist with audits, including preparing work papers for the auditors and analyzing dataCollaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and complianceSupport month-end close processesPerform various ad hoc projects as requestedAbout YouBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or financeMinimum 8 years+ of accounting experience (must include minimum of 6 years within public accounting)CPA requiredOther Qualifications:Software and/or SaaS industry experience preferredExperience using large ERP system preferredProficiency with MS ExcelProven experience in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment to meet tight timelines while ensuring high-quality deliverablesHigh attention to details and accuracy, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitaskExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical skills and problem-solving abilitiesStrong collaboration, leadership, and relationship development skillsWorkday Pay Transparency StatementThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
