Exploitation Analyst and Military Planner
JOB DESCRIPTION
X8 seeks a cyber analyst with military planning experience in cyberspace operations. In this role you will serve as a
product manager and subject matter expert (SME) leading the development of the newest analytical system supporting
USCC. This position directly supports operational analysis and the fielding of future analytical capabilities in
development now. This position is located on-site in Columbia, MD. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING • Lead contract performers to build a cyber targeting and analysis platform to assist exploitation analysts and planners with targeting, net-map development, and mission planning • Coordinate development efforts using SAFe Agile practices, to meet the needs of analysts and planners serving on USCYBERCOM mission teams • Collect user comments, suggestions, and feature requests to improve the analytical tool, automation and ensure it meets their needs to plan for operations • Drive product success on this and other program by drafting features, collaborating with the J3 and CTOC representatives and meeting with users • Conduct system demonstrations to a variety of users and interested parties locally, on site or virtually. • Assess viability of integrating external data sets to meet the needs of mission teams related to entity analysis, data acquisition, automating operational processes, and data tagging • Coordinate with other program managers to ensure SIGDEV, CONOP development, targeting and mission planning experience, guides developers to build user interfaces (UI) and querying mechanisms to better serve USCYBERCOM analysts WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING • Master’s degree and 10 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related experience, OR 14 years of related experience with no degree • Shall possess an understanding of existing analytic tools and access capabilities in use by USCYBERCOM, NSA or other Intelligence Community (IC) partners • Preferred familiarity with dataflows within the DoD or IC and data storage options like AWS • Possess knowledge of the normal military planning processes, especially time planning operations (at any level) within USCYBERCOM MINIMUM CLEARANCE REQUIRED • Current and Active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph COMPENSATION • Pay Range: $225,000 – $260,000 (depending on experience, education) • Up to 5% annual salary retention bonus • Up to $5,000 continuing education reimbursement • Benefits: 100% medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance • Time Off: 24 Days PTO and 13 holidays • 401K: up to 10% 401(k) contribution
