BKB Enterprises is seeking a proven Lead Estimator to take ownership of the bidding process across restaurant, retail, and hospitality projects throughout California and the Western U.S.
This is a leadership role. You are not just turning numbers you are driving strategy, controlling the bid, and setting projects up for success before they ever hit the field. At BKB, estimating is where projects are won or lost. We run a disciplined, high-accountability process backed by strong operational leadership, repeat clients, and a steady pipeline of work. Our estimating team is expected to lead from the front, communicate clearly, and deliver complete, accurate, and competitive bids.
We are looking for someone who:
Owns the bid from initial review of plans through final proposal submission
Leads plan analysis, scope development, and trade coverage strategy
Drives subcontractor outreach and ensures 3–5 qualified bids per major trade
Levels, qualifies, and tightens numbers to deliver competitive, buildable pricing
Identifies scope gaps, risk, and value engineering opportunities early
Coordinates closely with Project Managers and Operations to ensure alignment
Communicates directly with clients, architects, and internal leadership with confidence
You will be responsible for delivering fully vetted, organized bid packages that align scope, pricing, and execution strategy. This is a fast-paced role that requires precision, urgency, and the ability to lead both internally and externally.

What You’ll Do
Prepare accurate project estimates and competitive bid packages with precision and accuracy
Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis
Review plans, specs, and subcontractor proposals
Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors
Support budgeting, value engineering, and cost forecasting
Maintain estimating documentation and bid tracking
Participate in preconstruction meetings and client discussions
Lead with authority and confidence

What We’re Looking For
You’ll likely succeed in this role if you have:
5+ years of commercial estimating, proven experience
Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, Construction Connect, and Similar Programs
Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
Ability to read plans and specifications confidently
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience managing multiple bids and deadlines
Ability to train junior staff, mentor, and lead the assigned team to WIN
