What You'll Do

  • Design and program building automation systems and DDC controls

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation

  • Select system components such as controllers, sensors, actuators, and valves

  • Develop wiring diagrams and control drawings using Visio

  • Program DDC controllers and build user interfaces

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and optimize system performance on site

  • Configure HVAC controls and BAS integrations

  • Support system startup, testing, and optimization

  • Diagnose controls and communication issues

  • Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and customers

  • Maintain accurate documentation and system records

Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in building automation, BAS/BMS, HVAC controls, or a related technical field

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Hands-on experience programming DDC controllers

  • Experience creating control drawings using Visio

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and mechanical/electrical schematics

  • Understanding of networking and system integrations

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Experience with building automation platforms such as:

    • Niagara / Tridium

    • Johnson Controls

    • Siemens

    • Honeywell

    • Distech

    • Alerton

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to remain tobacco free while on job sites
