Yulista Support Services LLC Regular PRIMARY FUNCTION * Troubleshoot malfunctions, repair, and modify, aircraft electrical and electrical components. Reading and interpreting technical maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical orders, blueprints, schematics, harness layout drawings, engineering data, and other specifications, to determine feasibility and method of installing, repairing, or replacing, malfunctions or damaged aircraft components and wiring. * Experience in performing routine disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, installation and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and accessories, such as flight control, fire detection, instrumentation, power control, fuel quantity, power generation and distribution, and utilities of wiring harnesses. * Perform functional checks on existing and newly installed aircraft electrical systems, equipment, wiring, and cables, to check continuity, resistance, amperage, and insulation breakdown with meters, bridges, meggers, and specialized test sets. * Correct discrepancies by removal, repair, or replacement, of defective or deleted circuits, wires, connectors, control units, plugs, switches, circuit breakers, diodes, resistors, capacitors, relays, and other parts of aircraft electrical systems.
* Examine and prepare components and wiring to locate defects; shall perform repairs on aircraft electrical systems; shall identify, address, and take steps to resolve, current, emergent, and projected, electrical anomalies associated with wire harness installation, and report other discrepancies as identified to the COR to ensure USCG managers are apprised of related risks, impacts, and potential solutions.
* Shall be required to follow work orders, as assigned by the Project Manager / Aircraft Mechanic III (Electrical). All work is subject to USCG QA review to confirm process adherence and completion quality for compliance with requirements, instructions, specifications, shop practices, and procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Perform independent electrical/Avionics work involved in routine disassembly, inspection, manufacture, repair, overhaul, testing, installation, and modification of aircraft and support equipment electrical wiring harnesses.
* Knowledgeable of procedures necessary to route, clamp, wrap, and tie, electrical, instrument, and electronic wiring.
* Able to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
* Skilled in the operation of common electrical test devices, such as multi-meters, bridges, voltmeters, ammeters, watt-meters, meggers, and specialty devised test sets to perform basic checks for continuity, resistance, voltage, opens, insulation breakdown, grounds, or malfunctioning switches and relays.
* Ability to correct minor discrepancies by testing, adjusting, or replacing, relays, fuel quantity, amplifiers, solenoids, pressure switches, generators, control switches, circuit breakers, lights, transformer rectifier units, inverters, instruments, servo units, and other components of similar complexity in aircraft electrical systems.
* Knowledge, skill, and ability, to follow appropriate safety procedures common to the trade
* Knowledge of general aircraft electrical/Avionics and maintenance hazardous materials (such as solder, flux, and isopropyl alcohol) and hazardous wastes procedures is necessary, including the proper fitting and usage of protective gear and completion of related training.
* Able to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
* Skilled in removing deleted and defective circuits and parts, installing new or replacement electrical components, instruments, accessories, and equipment, in the electrical control, power, indicating, warning, actuating, lighting, utility, and related systems.
* Skilled in repairing cable assemblies, connectors, and soldering and terminating wires.
* Knowledgeable of procedures necessary to route, clamp, wrap, and tie, electrical, instrument, and electronic wiring.
* Skilled in the operation of common electrical test devices such as multi-meters, bridges, voltmeters, ammeters, watt-meters, meggers, and specially devised test sets to perform basic checks for continuity, resistance, voltage, opens, shorts, insulation breakdown, grounds, and malfunctioning switches and relays.
* Skilled in the use of hand tools, such as hand and automatic wire strippers, soldering equipment, wire cutters, heat guns, electric and pneumatic power tools, and other specialized tools of the trade, including Quadrax connectors.
* Ability to identify and correct minor discrepancies by testing, adjusting, or replacing relays, fuel quantity amplifiers, solenoids, pressure switches, generators, control switches, circuit breakers, lights, transformer-rectifier units, inverters, instruments, servo units, and other components of similar complexity in aircraft electrical systems.
* Ability to perform functional checks of electrical components installed or repaired to ensure proper operation
* Perform other electrical worker duties as required befitting the skill required of this position.
* Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) established regulatory requirements in accordance with this SOW.
* Maintain a high state of cleanliness and utilize a clean-as-you-go process when executing maintenance duties.
* Must maintain situational awareness, stay cognitive-focused, and mitigate risks.
* Comply with processes and procedures as per the Department of Homeland Security / Department of Defense (DHS/DOD) documents and publications.
* Maintain, control, report missing, lost, found, or unattended, tools IAW ALCINST 13600.1 (series).
* Inventory and inspect tools on a regular basis and identify when to replace worn or broken tools.
* Clean work area as necessary, assuring all flammable materials are properly stored; handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements IAW Safety and Occupational Health Manual, COMDTINST 5100.48 (series).
* Comply with safety rules and procedures and perform work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work area IAW Safety and Occupational Health Manual, COMDTINST 5100.48 (series).
* Promptly report accidents, injuries, safety violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to the Contractor supervisor, who in turn shall report them to the COR.
* Provide satisfactory customer service. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: * Capable of performing tasks that frequently require: lifting, reaching, bending, walking, pulling, sitting, and standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, and stretching for prolonged periods of time.
* Capable of performing tasks in cramped, awkward, and strained positions and/or climbing up and down ladders, work platforms, scaffolding, and aircraft structures.
* Capable of carrying items up to forty (40) pounds; on heavier objects above forty (40) pounds, the contractor personnel shall seek assistance of other workers or weight lifting devices.
* Capable of wearing cumbersome personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves as required by provided instructions. QUALIFICATIONS: * Possess high school diploma or equivalent
* At least two (2) years of experience in electrical/Avionics aircraft maintenance or possess an aviation technical school certification or degree in an Aviation Electrical discipline.
* Experience with the USCG H65 aircraft is highly desired.
* Capable to communicate utilizing the English language.
* Must be a United States citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
* Must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance.
* Must possess basic/moderate computer skills.
