Ex-USAF officer sues consulting firm
Kyle Reinhardt is a retired lieutenant colonel from the US Air Force. He recently sued the consulting firm that he was working for which has more than $100 million worth of federal contracts, alleging in court documents and an interview that his female boss Kim Cirka abused him while entertaining clients at District nightspots.
Kim Cirka who is a partner at Guidehouse is accused of overseeing a "freewheeling sexual culture" at the firm. Not just that, the complaint also highlights how federal consultants and other contractors woo government officials in the hopes of getting a share of federal contracts. According to the pleading which was filed in DC Superior Court, the complainant alleges that Cirka habitually harassed him, bothered his girlfriends, and flirted and engaged in other unwanted sexual behavior during social gatherings. It even alleges that after one night of heavy drinking, Cirka sexually assaulted the complainant. The complainants' attempts at bringing forward this issue were brushed aside by the accused giving him the impression that he had to "play the game" if he wanted to keep his job. Reinhardt's lawsuit alleges that Cirka discriminated against him for refusing her advances by blocking his promotion to partner and eventually forcing him out. He believes the company used him to get a $110 million contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Cirka has denied any allegation of wrongdoings, in a statement through her lawyer she said that Reinhardt was "a disgruntled former employee who was terminated for performance issues and is now attempting to wage a smear campaign."
