Amazon to pay valley employees tuition fee?

Global brand Amazon has partnered up with one of the most revered and largest higher education institutions in the Central Valley to provide free tuition for its hourly employees in the region.
This initiative is a part of the company's Career Choice program. Sacramento City College which is one of the partnered institutions will pay full tuition for Amazon's hourly employees. Other colleges include Fresno State's Turlock's California State University, Stanislaus's Modesto Junior College, and Clovis Community College. The program is open to both full-time and part-time employees of Amazon. The full-time employees will have their entire tuition taken care of while the part-time employees will be compensated for half their tuition expenses. To qualify for the program an employee has to be a Tier 1 associate within any of the company's warehouses, employees must have worked with the company for at least 90 days before applying for the Career Choice Program. Other than paying for associate and Bachelor's degrees, the program also funds high school completion. GED and ESL classes.
Amazon spokesperson Natalie Wolform said that between regional distribution centers and fulfillment centers, there are about 21,000 eligible employees who could receive full or partial tuition.
