Toyota to build $1.29 billion factory, employment for over 1750 people
Toyota plans to build a $1.29 billion battery manufacturing factory in the US to make batteries aimed at supporting gas-electric hybrid and fully electric vehicles. Although the plant's location is not confirmed, it is said to employ over 1750 people in order to start manufacturing batteries by 2025 with plans to expand by 2031.
This plant is a confirmed part of Toyota's $3.4 billion US expansion project to make automatic batteries over the next decade. Although the location is not confirmed for many of these factories, General Motors plans to build the factory in Ohio and Tennessee while Ford plans of setting shop in Tennessee and Kentucky.
