Over 44 million citizens have filed for unemployment since March

Once seasonal adjustments were stripped off, the unemployment claims for last week alone stood at 1.5 million. While seasonal adjustments usually balance out the data set, the COVID-19 crisis has left analysts perplexed since adjustments can change the picture to some extent.
