35000 airlines workers may be furloughed or laid off

There have been very few industries that have managed to escape the wrath this global pandemic has unleashed upon the world. The airline industry is not one of them. The majority of the countries in the world had or still have implemented strict travel rules/ban, making it difficult for airlines to sustain. To reduce the burden if the COVID relief package and the Paycheck Support Program aren't extended, then more than 35000 airline workers will be furloughed or laid off on Thursday.
