Apple and Amazon are hiring
The pandemic has spared no one, not even Silicon Valley. However, some industries have shown potential and are still hiring, and tech is one such industry. As recession knocks on our doors, tech giants such as Amazon, Microsoft and Apple have listed 2000 open jobs and claim to be hiring. Facebook also announced that they will be hiring 10,000 people within the tech and product teams in 2020. While some companies in the Bay Area showcased a 17% growth in recruiting, others such as Uber and Airbnb have experienced layoffs and pay cuts.
