US airlines drop 36,700 jobs

Travel and tourism were severely impacted across the globe due to the pandemic. Many airlines had been laying off their employees due to non-functionality or reduced number of flights due to the lockdown and restrictions. The drop in the jobs since September indicate that the companies that took the CARES ACT funding could not terminate their employees till September.
