Data indicates that layoffs eased in April

Although the layoffs may have halted in the month of April, hiring is still at a historically low level as businesses struggle to survive the pandemic. The monthly Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey indicated layoffs were at it's second-highest level since the government began tracking the sector in 2000. Read about the details here.
