Unemployment claims cross 1M mark

For the second week in a row, US unemployment claims have crossed the one million mark, indicating just how dire the situation is. Despite the number of cases declining, the new applications for unemployment aid continue to grow. The US job market has seen some gains in the past three months, however, the rate at which they are being added is nowhere close to the number of jobs that were lost to the pandemic since April.
