Class of 2020 staring at a bleak job market
While job interviews and recruitment has been ongoing thanks to video conferencing software such as Zoom, the confidence of graduates has been low since many student offers have had their offers rescinded. Around 60% of all new graduates are said to get hired with firms with less than 500 employees, and it is these smaller businesses that have suffered the most due to the pandemic. As the job market looks grim, students have been advised to be flexible and adaptable, and go for Plan B for now. There is always time to build on a career in the future.
