How Mark Zuckerberg shook the job market

Often perceived as a tycoon, Mark Zuckerberg recently announced that he will be making the remote working option permanent for all his employees, regardless of the pandemic. He clearly sees the business benefits from this move as employees rejoice on not having to pay Silicon Valley house rent rates. What may seem like a tiny step towards a more productive workforce was, in reality, a power move, which will have ripple effects on the industry. This means a dip in salaries for San Francisco workers as well as larger cities. This will also have an impact on 39 million Americans who are out of work.
