1.5 million seek unemployment last week
Even as businesses continue to open up, there still appears to be a problem in terms of unemployment. According to the Labor Department, over 1.5 million Americans filed new state unemployment claims last week — the lowest number since the crisis began, but far above normal levels. What's more, is that 700,000 workers who were self-employed applied for a federal aid program. Read the details here.
