New collar jobs?
We have all heard of white-collar jobs and blue-collar jobs but not get ready for new-collar jobs. Ginni Rometty former chairman and CEO of IBM coined the term to encourage firms to hire people by looking at skills and capabilities that go beyond a four-year degree.
The work-from-home situation accelerated the conversation about new collar jobs as these can be done remotely. New collar jobs are increasingly seen in tech roles and digital media management and marketing. Other than these they are also frequently found in the healthcare sector in the form of specialized nurses or aid and mortgage industry.
