According to reports, as the baby boomer generation retires, there will be a huge skill gap and a severe shortage of blue-collar workers. The manufacturing and construction especially will feel the brunt as young people are turning to white-collar jobs. While more people are going to college, they are seeking opportunities in the white-collar jobs within agriculture, mining, manufacturing and transportation.
