Employment in May
According to the BLS, employment rose to the tune of 2.5 million in the month of May, but it is still down by 19.6 million since February. This indicates that the economy is recovering, but still has a long way to go. The total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 2.5 million due to the reopening of businesses.
