Employers are once again gearing up for the holiday season and looking forward to seasonal hiring to keep up with customer demands during the holidays. Hiring announcements come from big chains as KPMG predicts that US retailers will see a 7% growth in holiday sales compared to last year. Much like last year, most jobs advertised this year too include delivery jobs, warehouse worker postings and mail carriers. Major employers who have announced hiring include:

UPS: The company is hiring 100,000 part and full-time seasonal workers to meet holiday demands. UPS is hiring the same number of people as last year and the roles are open for package handlers, drivers and similar roles.

United States Postal Service: The US Postal service is hiring more than 40,000 workers for handling mail and package delivery services. Roles open for hiring are mail carriers and drivers in cities and rural areas. The Postal service is also holding 60 job fairs across the country where candidates can apply.

Kohl's: Kohl's is looking forward to adding 90,000 seasonal workers to their stores and warehouses and will also be providing bonuses ranging from $100 to $400 to workers for covering the holidays.

Michaels: The chain is adding 20,000 new workers to stores and distribution centers. In an announcement last month, Michaels announced that they would offer flexible hours, competitive wages and a 30% discount to seasonal workers.

1-800-Flowers.com: The floral delivery retailer will hire 10.000 seasonal workers to deliver food and gifts to customers from its brands like Harry & David and Cheryl's Cookies. The company will also offer bonuses and increased pay to returning hires.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet: The discount chain wants to add around 3000 workers for store and warehouse positions. The retailer has no new incentives to attract workers but is planning to hold in-person hiring events to attract more applicants.
