Disney employee squashes proposal

Everything started in front of the Sleeping beauty castle when Ante got down on one knee on the stage and pulled out a ring to propose to his now-fiancee. The couple had visited the Happiest Place on Earth to make their day even more special, however, the essence of the moment was lost when a Disneyland Paris employee wearing a polo shirt and Mickey Mouse ears snatched the box and ushered the couple off the stage as soon as Ante popped the question. The employee directed the couple down the stairs and suggested they continue the proposal there.



The video of the entire incident was posted online and created quite a stir on platforms like Reddit. Netizens took it upon themselves to fight for the couple, the proposal video has been viewed thousands of times and many are rallying against Disney. Some said that the employee enjoyed stealing the couple's moments and while others believed that the staff knew that the proposal wouldn't be batter by the stairs. 



Eventually, the Disney headquarters in California had to issue an apology and even offered the couple free weekend tickets and a stay at the theme park. They however declined the saying that what they needed was a do-over which couldn't happen. Details regarding the disciplinary actions taken against the employee in question are not revealed by Disney.
