Looming layoffs for US carriers
Experts, economists and analysts have predicted that air travel might not return to pre-COVID-19 levels until 2023. Reports indicate that US carriers are preparing for this and are planning to trim their workforce to survive the pandemic. The airlines in the US employ over 600,000 people full-time, and another 110,000+ people on a part-time basis.
