A second round of layoffs may be around the corner
As the US has one of the worst track records when it comes to controlling the curve of COVID-19 infections in the country, a resurgence of the virus in many states may trigger yet another wave of layoffs and furloughs. While some states are placing restrictions on commerce, especially with riles around restaurant and bar openings, another 1.4 million people filed for unemployment insurance.
