Amazon added to National Council on Occupational Safety and Health's "Dirty Dozen"

The National Council on Occupational Safety and Health maintains a list of the most dangerous employers in the US known as the "Dirty Dozen",  recently Amazon got added to this list for how they treat their employees. This news was no surprise as Amazon which is the second-largest employer in the US faced multiple allegations of hazardous workplace conditions and employee treatment. Amazon also had a lawsuit filed against them by New York Attorney General Letitia James for inadequate protection of workers during the pandemic.

This comes at a time when the ESG metrics are becoming a major factor of consideration among investors. The employee needs although a small part comes under the social category of the ESG ratings. Amazon's major concern with ESG ratings is also the same as it gets affected due to unsatisfactory work environments, which is regarded highly by investors.

The other members of the list include American Hospitals Association, Chipotle, Eulen America, Fieldale Farms, Hard Rock Cafe International and subcontractors, Lincoln Recycling Services, National Restuarant Association, Sea Watch International, SGL Constructors, Tennessee Valley Authority/Jacobs Engineering, Trader Joe's, Victoria's Secret/L Brands/Voyant Beauty.
