Amazon and Walmart job fairs to fill 60,000 positions

To keep up with high customer demands, both Amazon and Walmart are going on hiring campaigns to fill 60,000 positions across the US. Amazon wishes to hire 55,000 people globally with 40,000 tech and corporate positions open throughout 220 locations in the US. The company also is looking to fill positions in the operations team with an hourly wage of $15 with retirement and health benefits. 

Amazon's Career Day is set to happen on September 15th or 16th where more than 1,200 recruiters will offer one-on-one advice and guidance to registered jobseekers. Walmart has already hired 450,00 workers in the US and currently employs 1.3 M employees globally. They plan to hire 20,000 workers to fill online orders and drive lifts at 250 warehouses and centers. The average hourly wage will be $20.37. Walmart too will be holding hiring events on September 8th and 9th.
