Almost 50 per cent of the US population is unemployed

Considering the US population, the numbers have been very dismal, indicating that we have a very long road to recovery which will take years. As the lockdowns had a grave effect on the labor market, the share of employed people soared to a record high of 61.2 per cent early this year. To get things back to its peak in 2000, around 30 million jobs will have to be created.
