Layoffs loom over United Airlines

The aviation sector has been one of the worst affected by the coronavirus pandemic. After thousands have already lost their jobs in the airlines, federal aid will be running out this fall which could spell disaster for United Airlines. With a contracted demand, the airline is expecting to cut up to 16,000 jobs. American Airlines also announced its plans to cut 19,000 jobs. Read the details here.
